if you're 250lbs you still need to respring the 690/701. No way you're gonna get proper sag setup while being that heavy on any bikes oem springs. Even 200lb is pushing it. Gotta remove the bottom 20mm screw to release the stem from bottom triple clamp. Have only ridden the new 22mm setting on the street.

I do like the KTMs as well, six years ago the SMC and 690 Enduro were on my short list when I found a really good deal on a Husqvarna 610SM. I don't quite understand you as the SMC and 690 Enduro are basically the same bike with the difference being the SMC having seventeen inch supermoto wheels and the enduro having the larger dirt oriented wheels.

Some may say this is a dangerous way to mount the bike but it works for me and other short riders. I can't speak for others but many a dirt bike rider who's bike doesn't have a kick stand mount their rides this way also.
